70 Days of Geocaching – Day 15

TEAM_CSG’s quest to fill in month/day combinations where we have never found a geocache.

Geocaching is an outdoor recreational activity, in which the participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS)receiver or mobile device and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called “geocaches” or “caches”, anywhere in the world. (Source: Wikipedia)

Rose Roots Garden – Today’s trip brought me out to a community garden located in the Five Parks area of Arvada.  While in season, locals are able to plant crops  on a 15 ft by 15 ft plot they lease on an annual basis.  Future plans will have additional garden beds available, as well as fruit and nut trees.  More information is at the link here.  The cache is inside the grounds, be respectful of the work of this organization if you visit during the growing season.

AlmostHumanDisruptArticle on Almost Human episode order

Episode order – from IMDB

6 Arrhythmia (3)

“Disrupt” had a rating of 1.7 in the overnights.  Will it be enough for a renewal?

If it wasn’t clear in prior episodes, Rudy is a complete pervert.  Be careful when you go on vacation, your co-workers may start spreading stories about you.

I think we have the reveal of how season one will end. What will be the significance of the memory of the child in bed with the train? We had no dialog from any MX this week.

Hops you find it! – 65 degrees Fahrenheit in mid-February?  The weather allowed us to spend most of the day catching up on yard cleanup.  The trash company will love us tomorrow.  We headed out late in the day to run a few errands, and grab this micro cache.

We ended up in an area know as the Westminster Promenade, a entertainment center filled with many attractions, and several caches.  This one was selected due to the fact that it was logged as found the previous day.  It was a quick find, located outside the entrance of a chain of popular brewpubs. Now we have a week off before we reach another day to complete.

JJ Abrams Rewind Podcast #043 for Almost Human 1.10 – Perception

AlmostHumanPerceptionMy, what big pupils you have.

Based on the previews last week, we had hoped that this episode would be Det. Stahl-centric.  But, alas, the writers missed an opportunity.  We suspected that this was another out-of -order episode, and one of our regular callers confirmed this. With all these disjointed episodes, we are not optimistic on renewal, even though this episode had a 1.6 rating, the best in several weeks. Art and Karen are looking forward to the day when we can have virtual post-it notes.

Stay tuned for more excitement in the world of JJ Abrams.

Tonight was a challenge. Cold weather, ice, and dark.  The 60 degree temperatures promised do not materialized until later this week.

Caches Attempted

The Log Cache – <Begin Rant> Dear Cache Owner If you know that your cache is missing, please disable the listing.  Also setting an owner maintenance log IMPLIES you have fixed the problem, not that you PLAN to fix the problem. <End Rant>

Fabulous Four – After a tasty dinner prepared by the her half of the team, I headed out and hoped that this regular size cache would be a quick find.  But, alas, no luck.  I do not know if it was the lighting or the snow cover.  Will need to try this another time.

JADE LOVES WAL #10 – As a last attempt, I headed back to the local Wal-Mart and grabbed this cache that is a tribute to excessive shopping.  Sometimes a lamp skirt can be your friend.

JJ Abrams Rewind Podcast #042 for Almost Human 1.09 – Unbound

AlmostHumanDanicaThe question of the week is….. What is behind the Wall??

Sally Forth comic strip references Fringe

Leonard Nimoy announces he has COPD

We now think this is the last  ‘out of order’ episode in the series.   There were a lot of setups in this episode that were revealed in future episode (Sex bots, Kennex’s determining what childern should see) .

Gina Careno guests as Danica. John Larroquette appears as Dr. Nigel Vaughn.  Will we see him before season end.

Karen was extremely frustrated with this episode.  Art agreed, restating that the early episodes lacked something. Will it be enough to get a second season renewal?? Speaking of second season, we start to speculate what teh cliffhanger might be, and will we see an army of 500 Darian’s?

The next episode is Det. Stahl centric. Should be good.

Stay tuned for more excitement in the world of JJ Abrams.

70 Days of Geocaching – Day 12

Damn it’s cold!!!

Guitar Harbor – I can safely say that this is the coldest weather day that I have cached (-7F).  I new it would be too cold to walk across downtown to find a cache, so I went with an easy reserve cache near where I catch the bus to downtown.  In a strip shopping center, this cache is named after teh two main tenents nearby. This one did take a bit to find as I had to clear a pile of snow at the final location.  An additional challenge was trying to open the cache sans gloves.  I’m glad that I don’t need a cache tomorrow as the low in Denver is slated to be -15F.

JJ Abrams Rewind Podcast for Revolution 2.13 – Happy Endings

Aaron gets some old time religion
Aaron gets some old time religion

Aaron gets a bit of that ol’ time religion in this last episode before the Winter Olympics.

Almost Human final five season one episodes through March 3.  Bones moves back to Monday.

Is Charlie pregnant with Connor’s child? Is Rachel pregnant with Miles’s child? A whole lotta shaking goin’ on in this episode.

We were impressed that the Neville’s could travel from Washington DC to Texas in five days.

Doesn’t everyone know that the movie “The Notebook” is kryptonite for men?  Nice recovery by Rachel naming “Evil Dead II” as an appropriate drive-in movie.

In the next episode, we do discover the secret of the nanites.  Will the Olympic break be the nail in the coffin for Revolution?

Stay tuned for more excitement in the world of JJ Abrams.
