TEAM_CSGs quest to fill in month/day combinations where we have never found a geocache.
Geocaching is an outdoor recreational activity, in which the participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS)receiver or mobile device and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called “geocaches” or “caches”, anywhere in the world. (Source: Wikipedia)
Insanity – doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
A fine cup of coffee
Cuppa Chino 32 — Sun of Chicken The snow event held off until after the lunch hour, so I went out to make my third attempt at this cache. The cache owner took pity on me and offered a hint as to the final location. I arrived from my office in short order, and after a bit of a search, still came up empty. I dashed a quick email to the cache owner, asking for another hint. This time the hint was a big whack on the side of the head. I returned to the location, and at last had success. With roads turning bad during the evening rush hour, I was glad to get this day marked off early.
Lesson learned – sometimes you need to trust your instinct and not the GPS. I had searched in the area, but not enough to uncover what should have been a relatively easy find. Also, never be afraid to ask for a hint from the cache owner.
Bonus – If you go about two blocks north of the cache, you will be outside the studio of Rocky Mountain PBS. Outside of the building, there are cement footprints of famous celebrities.
