70 Days of Geocaching – Day 12

Damn it’s cold!!!

TEAM_CSGs quest to fill in month/day combinations where we have never found a geocache.

Geocaching is an outdoor recreational activity, in which the participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS)receiver or mobile device and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called “geocaches” or “caches”, anywhere in the world. (Source: Wikipedia)

Cache found

Guitar Harbor – I can safely say that this is the coldest weather day that I have cached (-7F).  I new it would be too cold to walk across downtown to find a cache, so I went with an easy reserve cache near where I catch the bus to downtown.  In a strip shopping center, this cache is named after teh two main tenents nearby. This one did take a bit to find as I had to clear a pile of snow at the final location.  An additional challenge was trying to open the cache sans gloves.  I’m glad that I don’t need a cache tomorrow as the low in Denver is slated to be -15F.
