70 Days of Geocaching – Day 29

TEAM_CSG’s quest to fill in month/day combinations where we have never found a geocache. Geocaching is an outdoor recreational activity, in which the participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS)receiver or mobile device and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called “geocaches” or “caches”, anywhere in the world. Taking a vacation day.  I did a short geocaching trip to fill in today’s date.  I had four finds, but two are noteworthy for today.

Coolest Cat II… A tribute to Yoda – Breaking way from a string of micro caches, I took a short walk to this cache.  Most of the high grass leading up to this cache is gone, a victim to the highway expansion nearby.  A ammo can was the reward for a cache in tribute to Yoda.  Pictures of the cat early and near end of life were inside.  A few trinkets, but none that I need to trade for.

Muche Love for Home and Country – The city of Westminster placed this monument in tribute to the branches of our Armed Forces. Organized by branch in a circle around a statue in the center, there are bricks engraved with the names of Servicemen and Women who gave their lives in defense of this country.
