70 Days of Geocaching – Day 41 – Tribute to

TEAM_CSG’s quest to fill in month/day combinations where we have never found a geocache. Geocaching is an outdoor recreational activity, in which the participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS)receiver or mobile device and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called “geocaches” or “caches”, anywhere in the world. Tribute To –  The her half of the team was able to get away from a resort hotel in Beaver Creek. (Where I was attending a conference). to visit nearby Vail Village, Colorado.  She was able to find a virtual cache in the village, which had a simple logging requirement. “Tell me what you see?”  The picture attached to this post IS NOT what you see at the cache site, but is nearby.

What is a virtual cache? – A Virtual Cache is about discovering a location rather than a container. The requirements for logging a Virtual Cache vary—you may be required to answer a question about the location, take a picture, complete a task, etc… In any case, you must visit the coordinates before you can post your log. Although many locations are interesting, a Virtual Cache should be out of the ordinary enough to warrant logging a visit. (from Groundspeak.com)
