70 Days of Geocaching- Day 9

TEAM_CSGs quest to fill in month/day combinations where we have never found a geocache.

Geocaching is an outdoor recreational activity, in which the participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS)receiver or mobile device and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called “geocaches” or “caches”, anywhere in the world. (Source: Wikipedia)

Today was such a beautiful day, we actually found two caches on a trip to Boulder.

Caches found

View from the cache. Business is booming

Hacker Cache – After our visits to Whole Foods and Barnes and Noble, we decide to go after this cache.  A regular size cache on the far end of a parking lot it ended up taking a bit to find.  A perfect camo for the area, I became too focused on the GPS and walked by it a few times. Will need to be careful during business hours as construction trailers are parked near this cache.

Beer O’clock

Malty MICRO #11 – Another of the series places near brewpubs.  The hide was clever. We found a piece of swag left with the micro and claimed it for ourselves.  People at the outdoor patio had to wonder what we were doing there today.  Will have to go back another time and sample the local brew.

Trackables Visited (for both caches)

Founder’s Pirate Tag – Art’s Key Ring

EV5 DEC Alpha

Trackables grabbed – None

Trackables Dropped – None

Next date to complete – January 27, 2014 we have a snow event scheduled for Monday.  Have a few caches scoped out.
